WHAT WE DO

Our mission is to provide data-centered solutions that empower our partners to drive climate action and create more sustainable communities.

In the Present

EcoAction Partners is the regional sustainability non-profit in San Miguel, San Juan and Ouray Counties. We provide data-driven solutions that empower our partners to create more sustainable communities by working closely with our regional governments, utility providers, schools, businesses and residents on implementing climate action. We conduct GHG emissions analysis and develop climate action plans to help guide programming that will have the biggest impact for our region.

History

EcoAction Partners originated as The New Community Coalition in 2007 to implement collaborative sustainability efforts in San Miguel County. Our 501c(3) non-profit organization was started with funding from the Towns of Telluride and Mountain Village and San Miguel County. We are now funded by each of our ten partner governments, utility partnerships, and local, state and foundation grants. Our name was changed to EcoAction Partners in the spring of 2012 to emphasize our active role in the community on the forefront of regional sustainability initiatives.

We envision a region where people and their communities partner to enhance local self-reliance to ensure a sustainable, resilient, and equitable future.
